Priceless Family Photos...
We recently had our family photos taken for Christmas and it was lots of fun (sarcasm). lol We had them done at 9 a.m. on a cold, windy Saturday (go figure because every other day is hot in Texas... or so it seems!) and the boys were not having it. Finley was intent on being a boy and exploring the park and Kieran was having an allergy attack so he wouldn't smile. Our photographer was great because the pictures came out way better than I could have imagined. Now I just have to decide which ones to order and which ones to put on the Christmas card.
Here are a few of them for your viewing pleasure. :)
And, yes, Finley was indeed consuming dirt in what's soon to be known as a priceless and classic family photo.

Krafts With Kieran

November Already? (Update Post)
We have teeth! Tooth number one and two broke through Friday and today. Kieran says, "Bring on the steak, people!" He has been drooling so much and a little cranky so I am glad they popped through. He is so funny. He will rub his lips and tongue over the gums and make the funniest face trying to figure out what these two foreign objects are in his mouth.
In other news, we had family photos on Saturday morning at an area park. We had originally scheduled a photo session for next Sunday, but that had to be changed and the only available slots were 9 a.m. and noon this past Saturday. Noon is dangerously close to Finley's naptime so I didn't want to risk that and thought 9 a.m. might be better since the boys have been waking super early due to the time change. Wrong! lol Kieran woke with puffy allergy eyes and wasn't feeling super perky due to that and his teething. Plus he decided he wanted to sleep in on this particular day (figures lol). Finley was all about exploring this awesome new place... sticks, rocks, dirt, dirt and did I mention more dirt? We'll be lucky if he was dirt free in any of the photos. The best smiles we got were of Finley eating dirt with dirt all over his face! This should be interesting... Stay tuned for the Christmas card!
After photos, my wonderful mother-in-law and father-in-law (have I told you how great they are?) watched Finley and Kieran so that Andrew and I could do a few things and hang out alone. We had a late breakfast at Denny's then went over to Hobby Lobby to window shop. They ended up having an awesome sale so we bought a few deeply discounted items to try and make a lot of our Christmas presents. I hope they turn out good. I won't go into full details since a lot of my readers are on our Christmas list. We also enjoyed browsing around Wal-Mart then went to Starbuck's and had free drinks (Andrew had a gift card). It was sooo nice and cold out. We enjoyed the day immensely. Thanks Ted and Lanelle! The boys got to spend lots of time with their grandparents this weekend and they loved it. I hope the grandparents aren't too worn out though.
I am excited about Thanksgiving coming up. I just love the holidays. Sunday, we are having our Thanksgiving with my mom and two younger sisters. I look forward to seeing everyone. We don't get to see each other nearly enough. On Thanksgiving day, we'll see the other side of the family. Family and food is always such a blessing. I know the boys will enjoy it as well.
Late breaking news... Ok, as I am writing this, Kieran is shocking the pants off me! He is rolling all over the place getting irritated that his body won't do what he wants. He has also been getting on his hands and knees and rocking like he wants to crawl. Well he just got up on his hands and feet twice and is getting so mad he can't do what he wants. I can't believe this! I need to find a camera, fast! lol He's trying to grow up way too fast for me!

A Kierbear and a Finleypotamus Spotted at The Houston Zoo!
Last week, Daddy took the week off from work. We tried to get some stuff done around the house. It was really nice to have Daddy here though. I think Kieran got too used to that! He misses the extra set of arms. Apparently, I am not tending to his needs as fast as he'd like! lol Last Friday, we went to the Houston Zoo. It was a nice day with cool weather and we really enjoyed it.
And here is my big boy now!
Whew, that post took longer than planned... After the zoo we visited family and had more fun... More to come...
The boys really enjoyed seeing all of the fish and other underwater creatures. We even found Nemo!
After we saw the fish, we saw the meerkats. We love them. This one reminds us of our doggy Chloe when she is begging for dinner! lol
We also saw cats, dogs (yep, they have dogs at the zoo!), elephants, giraffes and all sorts of cool creatures. It was snack time for some and nap time for others...
Here is a dog and cat. They live together. We thought this was interesting so we had to look it up. Here is more info... http://www.houstonzoo.org/cheetahs/
Of course Mommy had to get photos of her favorite men by the exhibits.
And for grins, here are a couple pics of Finley when we took him to the zoo in September 2007. We can't believe how much he's grown! And here is my big boy now!
